When you’re in middle or high school, one incredible summer can change the course of your life. You may discover the passion that propels you to your future career; meet the mentors who inspire you to take new paths; and forge friendships that can support you for a lifetime.
Every summer at the Octavia Project is a chance for young women and trans and nonbinary youth in NYC to shape and pursue their dreams. This month, our Camp participants have been learning to code narrative games, studying architecture and urban planning with expert guest teachers, and exploring new facets of science, technology, art, and writing.
At our Institute, which continues until mid-August, participants are diving into astronomy and optical science, developing skills in playwriting and poetry, and gaining insight into publishing with professionals from Hachette. They’re also creating multimedia works for display at our public showcase.
